Self doubt and imposter feelings

You’re more capable than you think

You’re more capable than you think

You’re more capable than you think

From the outside, you’re doing well, you’ve achieved a lot, you’re trusted, and people rely on you, but internally, it doesn’t always feel that way.

You question yourself, second guess every  decision and constantly wonder if you’re really as capable as others seem to think you are.

At times it can feel like you’re only just keeping up and that, any day now, you’ll be found out.

This might sound familiar to you

You’re more capable than you think

You’re more capable than you think

  • You doubt your decisions, even after making them
  • You feel like you’ve got lucky rather than earned your success
  • You compare yourself to others and feel behind
  • You worry that you’re not as capable as people think
  • You hold back from going for opportunities
  • You feel like you should be further ahead than you are

On paper, everything looks fine but in your head, it’s a different story.

But, what's really going on?

But, what's really going on?

Self doubt and imposter feelings aren’t a sign that you’re not capable.

In fact, they often show up in people who are.

However, when you’re used to high standards, or you’re in environments where expectations are high, it’s easy to start questioning yourself.

You look for certainty before you act, assume others know more than you, and you ignore your own experience.

Over time, that becomes a pattern.

But, what's really going on?

Left unchecked, this can lead to:

  • Overthinking and indecision
  • Holding back from opportunities
  • Relying on external validation
  • Working harder to 'prove' yourself
  • Increased internal pressure
  • Over time, it can even lead to burnout

It’s frustrating, because you know you’re capable of more. but can't quite see a way out of the cycle.

This isn’t about trying to 'boost confidence' in a surface level way, it’s about changing how you see yourself and how you make decisions.

  • Understand where your self doubt comes from
  • Recognise the patterns that keep it going
  • Build trust in your own judgement
  • Take action without needing full certainty
  • Speak up and back yourself

What changes

Clients often notice that they:

  • Make decisions more confidently
  • Stop relying so heavily on others for reassurance
  • Speak up more in meetings and conversations
  • Go for opportunities they would have avoided before
  • Feel more grounded and less anxious about getting things wrong

You don’t become a different person, you just start using more of the capability you already have.
